The month of July also saw the finale to the second season of Canada’s Next Top Model. 22-year-old Rebecca Hardy, a former meatpacker from Mannheim, Ontario, was awarded a $100,000 beauty contract from P&G Beauty, a modeling contract with Sutherland Models, and an editorial spread in the October issue of FASHION Magazine. According to FASHION Magazine, Hardy, who has “brow-skimming bangs and instinctive style” and became known as the ‘edgy’ one, was the well-deserved winner of the contest. In an interview with the magazine, Hardy said, “It’s exciting! I’m just starting my career. I have my shoot for FASHION, and then they want me to go to New York, then back to Toronto. Very cool.”
