Pink Tartan Fall 2008 Review

Pushing the envelope, Kimberly Newport-Mimran went pristine punk for her Fall 2008 Pink Tartan collection. Citing the 70s (Blondie, London’s punk movement, and alternative music) and the Sex Pistols as her inspirations, Newport-Mimran showcased a collection fitting for the young Pink customer. Showing an edgier side, which was elegant and sophisticated at the same time, Newport-Mimran paired pristine clothes (white collar shirts, dresses, Venetian coats) with Doc Martins and motorcycle gloves, and suits and separates in purple and teal tartan. Exposed zippers on dresses and skirts were all the rage in the Pink Tartan collection as well.
