Andy The-Anh

Andy The-Anh, a Canadian fashion week favourite is still going strong with his Fall 2009/2009 collection.

The runway was filled with power outfits, referencing a woman not to be messed with. Models looked anything but delicate in the ethereal maxi dresses that flowed in the wind with long breastplate inspired necklaces and extra long fingerless leather gloves.

The-Anh's collection balanced soft materials and structured design in his body conscious dresses and referencing menswear pieces.

The models charged down the runway in The-Anh's beautifully tailored suits, finished with darling coat tail ruffles at the small of the back.

The-Anh experimented with unconventional jewelry such as half fur/half jeweled necklaces and knitted oversize detached collars.

The-Anh's inspiration seemed to be Greek goddesses Athena and Aphrodite, who were known for their prowess, intelligence and beauty. Any woman would feel like a deity in the long on shouldered Grecian gowns in turquoises, dark greens and light blues.
