People and Places: A Roundup

We begin the fashion news and reviews this month with a roundup of new faces in new places. If you haven’t already caught a glimpse of Kirsten Dunst as the new face of Miu Miu, be prepared to see images from the whimsical ad campaign in magazines everywhere. The Spring/Summer 2008 campaign was shot by fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot, but perhaps more intriguingly, FashionWatch.com reports that the 26 year old was seen kissing Superman actor Josh Hartnett at January’s Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah (US).

And for a second dose of Dunst, according to FashionWeekDaily.com, Kiki (as she’s been dubbed by her fans), will do a stint as guest designer at Lutz & Patmos, the label named for Tina Lutz and Marcia Patmos and known for its luxe knitwear. Previous guests have included French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld, Christy Turlington, L’Wren Scott, Sofia Coppola, and Julianne Moore.

Another budding model has emerged: Fashionwatch.com reports that Mick Jagger’s youngest daughter, Georgia May Jagger, has signed on to become a professional model with a leading agency. The starlet turned 16 last week, but at 5’7” tall, she is just three inches shorter than her sister Elizabeth (and five inches shorter than her mother, Gerry Hall). Georgia May Jagger has been described as having her mom’s fabulous hair and her father’s famous lips. She already shot her first magazine cover for Dazed and Confused. “She has this incredible face, a great figure, and a fantastic, energizing personality,” an agency spokesperson said.
