This month brings us several other news items in the world of fine jewellery, the first being that Ivanka Trump, the jewellery designer and real estate executive daughter of “The Donald,” has announced plans to launch www.ivankatrumpcollection.com. According to FashionWeekDaily.com, the website will be devoted to enabling customers to purchase pieces from Ivanka’s jewellery collection. Boyfriends scrambling for post-Valentine’s Day presents can now find diamond briolette tassel earrings and her signature oval enamel bands for prices ranging anywhere from a mere $750 to $50,000 (USD).

Second, Loulou de la Felaise, the former Yves Saint Laurent muse, has designed two new jewellery lines: one for friend Oscar de la Renta’s runway show, which was seen earlier this month, and the second, an exclusive collection for the Home Shopping Network (HSN). FashionWeekDaily.com reports that the news is just part of the network’s plans to widen its fashion appeal to a broader market. Other HSN partnerships in the past year have included Iman, Tina Knowles, and Tori Spelling.

And Some Fuzzy News
We interrupt the serious fashion news for a fun tidbit: it appears that Karl Lagerfeld will soon be immortalized — in the form of a teddy bear. According to WWD.com, German manufacturer Stieff has announced plans to produce a fuzzy version of the couturier, complete with dark suit, logo belt buckle, high collar, and of course, his signature dark glasses.

Right on Target
Meanwhile, it looks like girls aren’t the only ones lucky enough to shop fabulous designer-collabo collections at Target anymore. Shaun White, the Olympic gold medallist and professional snowboarder and skateboarder, is launching a limited-edition clothing line for the mass retailer. The 21 year old athlete’s collection will feature apparel for young men and boys, and will hit stores in late July.

According to WWD.com, Target will be seeing another new face. At the end of April, Cynthia Rowley, whose Target collection entitled “Swell” was phased out more than two years ago, will make a reappearance with a new, limited-edition collection called “Whim.” Interestingly, Whim will not be part of the Go International series, as the label will not carry apparel, but rather novelty items, such as outdoor games and inflatable pools.
