From the hand-made glass beads in Montreal’s Marie Saint Pierre’s collection to Christian Lacroix’s insistence on including feather trim entwined with dashes of ribbon, this Fall is clearly concerned with stand out embellishment. On the runway, looks were kept minimal and highlighted with extravagant accessories like jeweled cuffs, lace lined turbans and sequined cardigans (for men!). And around every catwalk turn there seemed to be hats, fur, and gloves to complete the look as seen in collections like Andy The-Anh, David Dixon, Fashion Psychology, and Lucian Matis. And the plus side is that accessorizing is the easiest way to breathe new life into an outfit!
