Brotherly love it is with the dynamic design duo Stephane and Laurent Gabay who started the ultra cool Kolor Shades label. The Canadian business began in fall 2007 and just celebrated its opening party with L’OREAL Fashion Week this March.
“We have been involved in the fashion industry since we were very young,” says Laurent, who explains that his father was a successful brand and private label developer.
After the boys completed their university degrees (Stephane in business and
Laurent in Finance and Computers), the brothers became heavily involved in the nightlife scene, jet-setting around the world with their entourage and hanging out with celebrities along the way.
After a couple of years, the two twenty-something Gabay brothers decided to go into business and, a few months later, Kolor Shades came to life. The shades have been seen on celebrities like Paris Hilton, Dj Am, Kanye West, Perez Hilton, and many more.
