Mirror, mirror

It seems almost everyone gripes about the same thing with respect to their living space. Unless you are one of the lucky few who has come across an amazing-looking mirror that is admired by all, you are among the many who really dislike their mirrors. Most mirrors belong to one of two standard categories: round- and square-ish, and with hit-or-miss frames. Occasionally, you might discover a “movement” in popular mirrors, like the “wiggle” mirror made available to all via omnipresent IKEA (KRABB mirror, $16.99, www.ikea.ca) — the extent of haute reflective.

But now there’s the Arti & Mestieri collection available at Class Art. This Woodbridge store appreciates the fine art with which these made-in-Italy mirrors are created, several framed in metal with gold and silver leaf finishes. With Art Deco becoming all the rage this fall and winter, a looking glass from this “movement” is the perfect complement to anyone’s dwelling.
