Good music is exciting. In fact, it’s an absolute treat, much like ice cream on a glistening summer day. Good, Canadian music, is exhilarating, like a rollercoaster ride going 150 mph. The much anticipated release from Canada’s legendary Broken Social Scene frontman Kevin Drew, is rapidly approaching. Mark your calendars, as September 18th will mark the coming of the first in a series of the Broken Social Scene Presents solo records from the band’s numerous members. Whether you’re a fan of BSS or not, check out Kevin’s myspace page for a sneak peak at some of the singles on his first solo project, Spirit If. Catchy tunes such as Backed Out On The and Tbtf will surely provide the perfect soundtrack to the summer’s end. Although no full-length tour dates have yet been announced, surely there will be a few appearances here and there closer to the release date. So BSS is taking some time off, but if one by one they produce independent projects like this one, fans can prepare themselves for a number of fantastic music indulgences.
