Nars nirvana

Francois Nars may be a 40-something man, but he knows the contours of a woman’s face. Acclaimed make-up artist, photographer, and businessman, Nars has added another skill to his list: master illusionist.

Created by Nars about ten years ago, The Multiple can be used on eyes, lips, cheeks, and body. The cream–to-powder stick comes in a rubber-encased tube in 13 glorious shades. Colours range from Copacabana, a glistening pearl, to South Beach, a shimmering apricot, to Palm Beach, a rich bronze.

Sliding the cream on your face or décolletage will create an effect perhaps best described by the name of another of The Multiple’s shades – Orgasm, a shimmery peachy pink. Skin positively glows with the oil-free, weightless cream.

Dabbed under the brow bone and on the cheekbones, The Multiple will create a subtle, luminous look. The Multiple, however, is best not used on the lips. In a pinch it will work, but the texture is simply not substantial enough. Definitely worth the considerable price tag, The Multiple will become a must-have in your makeup bag.
