Sierra Noble

Sierra Noble is wise beyond her years. The petite fiddle/violin virtuoso and folk singer has toured the world, mesmerizing audiences with the ease at which her delicate fingers move swiftly across the strings and her pure yet rich and soulful vocals.

Noble began studying fiddle music in the context of her Metis musical roots in her childhood, but her repertoire has quickly expanded to bluegrass, Cajun, jazz, and pop. With instrumental albums, Fiddlin’ Fingers and Spirit of the Strings, already under her belt, Sierra Noble is currently working on a vocal demo, leading with “Possibility,” a single co-written by Noble and Winnipeg producer Chris Burke-Gaffney and singer-songwriter Keith Macpherson. The song is a delicate balance of acoustic guitar plucking and Noble’s soft, husky voice over top. Another single, “It Hurts,” showcases Noble’s vocals in a bluesy ballad that is very reminiscent to Norah Jones’ vocals on “Come Away with Me.”

For fans of young, bluesy folk singing and fiddling, check out Noble when she performs as a part of the Canadian Pacific’s Olympic Spirit Train tour, promoting the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. For a complete list of tour dates, check out Sierra Noble’s website at www.sierranoble.ca.
