While the weather may not be cooperating with your plans to sip drinks poolside in big shades, we’re happy to report good news for your restless, inner fashionista. Vancouver’s Portobello West fashion and art market is the perfect way to spend a summer Sunday.

Named after London’s famous Portobello Road Market, here you’ll find Vancouver artisans and designers selling an eclectic West Coast mix of everything from handcrafted jewellery to aromatherapy candles. Open the last Sunday of every month from 12PM to 7PM, a bevy of unique finds awaits you here.

This summer’s exhibitor list is full of fab baby gear that no chic mom should be without. Keep an eye out for Green Bean Baby, organic cotton clothing and accessories designed and sewn by Lynn Stapleford. All of the environmentally friendly pieces are a beautiful oatmeal colour, and the zip-up terry robe — super-cute. Green Bean’s website is still under development, but it will ship its products within Canada. Also making the “must-have” list — retro-print change pads, and bib and burp cloth sets from Gorgeous Baby.
