Did Someone Call Tokyo Police Club?

2007 is shaping up to be a highly memorable and booming year for Tokyo Police Club (TPC)., Currently on tour to promote their first EP A Lesson In Crime, the boys of TPC are catching on quick as to what fast fame and success really mean. Having already carried out highly anticipated performances at the Coachella (Coachella, California) and Sasquatch (George, Washington) Music Festivals, the crazed fun won’t stop for a while. The quartet from Newmarket, Ontario consists of lead singer Dave Monks on bass, Josh Hook on guitar and percussion, Graham Wright on keyboards and vocals, and Greg Alsop on drums and percussion.

The group formed randomly when the band they played in together broke up and they realized that they missed playing together. From there, Tokyo Police Club was born. The boys are creating a lot of buzz with their captivating pop-rock beats amongst music lovers from all over North America and Europe. Undoubtedly though, the band’s most loyal fans are the same ones who filled the intimate venues in Ontario when it first started playing live gigs. With the release of catchy singles such as “Cheer It On” and “Nature of the Experiment,” people are bound to catch on to the addiction if they haven’t already. Known for its vigorous and impressive live shows, be sure to catch TPC in concert soon!

Don’t miss Tokyo Police Club at the Virgin Musical Festival in Toronto on September 8th, 2007.
